The set makes it easy to view and correct a wheel's lateral and radial run-out within a tolerance of .01mm. Compared to going by the gap between the truing stand pointer and rim, having gauges that put a number on the clearance makes wheel truing easier and more accurate.

The 791 Reamer Set reamer is used on the PF30 frame shells. The reamer is sized at 45.94mm. The 791 Reamer Set must used with the HTR-1 Head Tube Reamer and Facer, a 750.2 Centering Cone and the 690-XL Facer. Wheels Manufacturing open bore adapters are used to press sealed cartridge bearings into place. The adapters are machined with one step to correspond to the bearing OD, which fits in to the center of the sealed bearing and an outside diameter to accommodate the bearing's outer diameter. Torque wrenches are an essential bicycle tool. The increase in carbon fiber bikes and components have driven this need.
